Plants and People in Mooro Country – Nyungar Plant Use in Yellagonga Regional Park
The publication, Plants and People in Mooro Country – Nyungar Plant Use in Yellagonga Regional Park, was produced as part of the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) Local Action for Biodiversity Project.
Notes: So Marissa from Bindi Bindi Dreaming paid us a visit at Duncraig Edible Garden and well I’ll just add the link here instead of repeating! The book is free and can be downloaded by clicking here. The publication details the changed landscape of Yellagonga Regional Park from Aboriginal settlement to what the Regional Park is today, as well as delivering a comprehensive list of local native plant species and their uses by Nyungar people. Very informative but be warned there are a lot of Scientific Names, Common Names and Nyungar Name.
