Murder Most Fab – You’d Kill To Be That Famous by Julian Clarey

A twisted story of a young boy (Johnny Debonair) discovering his sexual preference for guys at an early age, a promiscuous mother, a life of prostitution, fame and drugs shared with a partner in crime. This book has juice! There are no proper contents but there is a Prologue, which is more of an apology letter to his first love, Tim.

Then the book has 5 parts which are further divided into chapters. An Epilogue. An interview with Julian Clary and bits about his other book. Just because of the prologue I kept thinking its a true story but its fiction. Note: I typed about 5 large paragraphs and realized I wasn’t doing this review justice… there is far too much juice to try and put down without giving a lot away.

3 Unfortunate deaths, dirty humor, homosexual fornication, deep dark pain, an even darker friend who together share the darkest understanding and secrets. When I was reading the moms story I was wonder why Taz would do this to me. As I continued to read on I found a familiarity as Taz and I share the same friendship only not as filthy or cutthroat. The ending was part predictable part unbelievable in the best and worst way.

Once the book gained momentum it did get pretty predictable but not bad enough to want to put the book down. Still feel I’m not doing the review justice, mostly coz of the second book Taz gave me and also the fact that I’m trying to finish reading everything I can before going back to Kenya, for a long holiday, after 3 years…. so I’ll leave it there. Big up to Taz for lending me the book.
