The third in his ‘Merde’ series, in this one French cafe owner takes up a job touring USA to promote UK to save his cafe in France. Good bit first coz when I say bit… just the first half of the book had a few jokes that actually made me laugh our loud enough to get the attention of fellow exercyclists or bus passengers.
The story is too exciting without continuity. All that excitement and we don’t get to know if he resolved the issue of why he got into it in the first place. The story was all over the place. All dude did was intricately describe people and what they wore. When he wasn’t doing that he was being a lil biatch with his girlfriend, chasing after her and being a lil puppet.
To give him the benefit of the doubt the stories and characters were interesting in their own way and well… it’s America… we pretty much know most of the stereo types and all so he was not hitting any new ground there. But yeah… mini big up to Viv for this one lol.
