This guy breaks down Shamanism in the way it should be. First a bit of story telling of his own experience then some knowledge, info and case studies. He starts of by explaining that in the Shamanic state you see things you don’t in the normal state while you still look normal.
Basically folks will think you’re hallucinating. Lots of Shamans take different hallucinogens. And because Michael is also an anthropologist he’s done hardcore research and discovered that all Shamans from Aussie aborigines to Russian/Indian/African/Native Americans all experience the same thing… their practices are just different.

Now once you enter this ‘fantasy world’ stuff like snakes and spiders are bad… the rest are our power animals. He went on to describe the journey, getting the power animal, how to use them as guides and restore power, power practice, extracting harmful intrusions. Like you know when you’re sick the shaman will see some spiders and snakes around your affected area and cleans it up in that world.
Now things like gems, bones, drums and rattles are very important. Quartz is meant to be the most powerful. Drums and rattles are a must to get into that state. Most chapters he’s got step-by-step guides from getting into that state to cleaning up the mess and finding your power animal etc. Thing is you have to do it in order… mostly! I really enjoyed this read. Big up Ria for the suggestion.
