A Seed’s A Star/Tree Medley – Stevie Wonder: First of all I love trees so this song def hit home. But that’s not it… I love stars too and he mentions two words that stunned me. Po Tolo (means deep beginning or smallest thing there is)… Real name Sirius B.

According to lore of the Dogon of Mali (West Africa), Po Tolo is meant to be connected to their fonio grain (so it’s also called the star of fonio) especially coz they’re both small and white. So small that it was invisible yet these guys knew about it and its half-century orbit. How impressive is that? They used only 7 special stars to calculate time and stuff. 19 stone pillars called ‘Namoratunga’ (meaning stone people) were found near Lake Turkana and that’s what they used to align to calculate their calendar. Wicked ay?

Later similar stones were found at a burial site 100 km away. Even later investigations revealed them stones to be magnetic… I’ll leave it there or I’ll end up diverting and diverting and…
