Autumns one of the most artistic seasons man. First they start getting all these fiery colours from red to yellow to ash-ish brown. Some of the trees I wanted to take pictures of were gorgeous! I mean like bright red to luminous yellow. And the beauty of it is that the sun doesn’t have to be up to give the area a sunset feel. (Sunsets usually have a whole lot more yellow. Sunrise has more pink, purple, pastel kinda colours).

Not only that, when the leaves fall on tarmac and they’ve still got their colours it looks like a autumn’s laid out a long roll of designed gift wrap. I’m not joking man, I’m talking about the roads where the cars have flattened the leaves so much it doesn’t look like the leaf is different from the road. Oh and coz the wind be flirting with the trees they slowly unveil and drop the leaves around them… which at first looks sexy coz of the colours but then when they dry up to brown looks like trees done taken a dump all over the city. So that’s taking the dump… as for taking a piss, autumn gets darker and wetter so by the time I leave work the roads are shining… only thing is coz all the streetlights are more on the orange side it looks wet tarmac glistening with yellow which in my eyes looks like somebody done taken a piss all over the city.
I’m sure I’m missing something… oh yeah the autumn leaves… why is it most of them look like the maple leaf? I mean I see all these other trees different leaves and on the ground all you see is the bloody leaf on the Canadian flag! What’s that about? Last note… the maple leaves in Leeds are HUGE compared to city one.
Bonus: Autumn Leaves by Eva Cassidy and Lyrics below
The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
